Mary was formerly with Nichols Engineering and organized several
seminars on Asphalt-Rubber paving materials. Her current firm,
while involved in transportation planning, does not deal with
paving materials. Mary wishes to maintain contact with the industry
to keep abreast with the latest technologies in using crumb rubber
in a variety of construction applications.
Bob Winters is a former Officer and Director
of RPA and its predecessor organization APRG. He was the President
of Atlos Rubber, Inc. of Los Angeles, California which was in
the tire recycling business for over forty years. Atlos Rubber
recently shut its doors as it could not compete in the costly
business environment or the market which has hit bottom due to
influx of heavily subsidized foreign crumb rubber driving the
California prices below actual production costs. Bob has many
years of experience in the Asphalt-Rubber business as he jointly
held patents with Charles McDonald in the late 60s and 70s. He
marketed a product called "Overflex" which was primarily
used in spray applications. He is currently seeking a seat on
the California Integrated Waste Management Board. Because of
his vast experience in tire recycling as well as Asphalt-Rubber
paving materials, RPA is supporting his appointment. Bob can
be reached at telephone 818-996-3234 or by fax at 818-996-8393.
