Reported
are the Ministry's efforts in evaluating a whole compendium of
opportunities to utilize scrap tire rubber in transportation-related
applications. Described are lightweight fill, access hatch transition
collars, paving bricks, noise barriers, energy attenuators, ballast
for construction markers, portable speed bumps, guiderail block-outs/posts
and vehicle protection barriers. The status report also includes
two basic research projects to enhance the performance properties
of RMA compositions and develop novel products. |
