| Description | In 1980 the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Ontario embarked on a programme of field trials to identify the most suitable materials for sealing asphalt pavement cracks. The trials were subsequently expanded in 1982 to identify the most appropriate methods. This work has led to three additional materials being approved for use in asphalt pavements and the extensive use of hot compressed air and overband sealing. |
