| Description | Why dont things we place in the ground stay put? We bury waste materials in landfills and they migrate. We build improvements on what we expect is solid ground and they shift. I face this problem daily. Hazardous materials that get into the ground either accidentally or on purpose pose serious problems to our health and the health of the environment. My job is to do what is necessary under current regulations to keep these materials and then either remove them or immobilize them so that they are no longer a hazard. |
