Description	Four test sections consisting of: (1) a rubber-modified asphalt on asphalt-rubber interlayer; (2) rubber modified asphalt; (3) semi gap-graded asphalt on asphalt-rubber interlayer; and (4) asphalt-rubber surface treatment were constructed on an existing road with extensive cracking. These test sections were evaluated using a Heavy Vehicle Simulator (HVS) at elevated, ambient and cooled temperatures. The elevated temperatures, between 34 and 45 C were obtained by radiant heat electric heaters. Cooling of the test sections was affected by shading and by maintaining a flow of water across the sections. Rut measurements were used to evaluate the performance of the test sections.
